Gratitude Journal Entry – 10.05.17
As time passes by and we move from one project to another, the moment of thanking those around you may slip from your mind before you even knew it was there.
How many time have you set a reminder to thank someone for a great act of kindness? Two hours later, the work day explodes, your busy as every and somehow all other items became a priority?
Personally…….. I’m GUILTY as sin! In order to change my ungrateful ways I’ve decided to keep a gratitude journal.
Within the pages of gratitude I write reasons to be thankful such as
For starters I love the season of FALL, therefore I would write something along the lines of …..
“Thank you Mother Earth for the colorful array of nature along with the combination of cool weather.”
Today I’d much rather dive into the people that I’m grateful for.
With my deepest sense of gratitude I couldn’t be more grateful for my parents both sets, without the courageous pep talks, the hints, tips, and secrets to adulthood, the connections that you’ve made and then shared with me throughout marriage and first home ownership, pregnancy and life in general. As a “newbie” to this thing called adulting (SO INTIMIDATING)….. I would have hit the concert and broke every bone if I didn’t have my parents shining a nightlight on the right path or should I say a spot-light (LOL I heard that I can be stubborn) …..Kai, Derek, Patrice, Eric and those who came before you on this day and many more, I give you thanks and praise
Our “current” project which I’d like to keep secretive until several items are resolved however the need to thank everyone who has helped at this point is beyond me. Thank you to those kind hearts who are helping us gather the fruit of the seeds that we buried within our dreams, many blessings and thanks
Lastly, the people of a job makes it worth while. In this day and age, a job is not guaranteed and although it shouldn’t be feared, it is something to be understood. When one door closes shut, a better door opens. I’m grateful that I have something stable that provides for my family.
With this, I conclude my entry of gratitude today. I’m sure that I missed several items and could have gone on and on and on. The idea is to remain within the present, the right now – before it becomes a thing of the past.
